25Congratulations to our New Lawyer — Atty. SUNSHINE APPLE SUDARIO!
Filed Under (Politics) by Atty. Karen Gempis on 25-04-2007
We call her fondly as Apple but now, it is Atty. Apple–in recognition of her latest achievement—that of passing the 2006 Philippine Bar! For one who has personally witnessed how this unassuming, always carefree, strong but smart lady finally took the challenge of proving she can be a fitting member of the profession is worth something.
I knew Atty. Apple because of the years we worked together as hardcore volunteers of Tanauan Parish Youth Movement until it became the Commission on Youth of the Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Tanauan Leyte. From endless and untiring summer youth camps, to barangay youth organizing, recollections, VOTECARE/NAMFREL/PPCRV undertakings, closed-door meetings (some were controversial agenda) day in and out, and all other occasions of bonding moments, all in our beloved town—Tanauan Leyte, to fiesta, birthday, Santa Cruz brigades and many more, I saw in this once free-spirited youth the makings of a sister in the profession.
When I pursued my own journey in UST, it came as a surprise and a comfort to see a very familiar face. In a once unfamiliar environment, I saw an old ally. (somehow I think she will always be) She became my sorority sister—the chosen few in the ASTREA circle (Ad Astra Aspira!), fellow officer in the UST Faculty of Civil Law Student Council —and where else but in the profession we have all earned…
Again, CONGRATULATIONS and welcome to the profession sister! You make US proud!

Congratulations Apple!!! =)

Thank you mana karen for this nice article and for the support since TPYM time, law school, student council and of course ASTREA.You’re my inspiration. As to my co tanauaneños, thank you for the warm greetings.Thank you to my buddies, eron, hasmin, mark, and others I failed to mention. Tanauan is such a memorable hometown for me, not only because its a merry place but because of the tanauaneños themselves. I remember the late night meetings, tambay sa plaza, etc. The people won’t hesitate to lend a helping hand. I wont forget going to my neighbor and asking for “sibuyas or lasona” hehehe. For sure I will be back… Again thank you all! My success is yours.
