This may not belong to our known native delicacies but i think this viand is unique to us Warays. Humba…for sure it won’t be out of the picture during occasions especially fiestas. Aside from lechon paksiw, humba is one of the best “pasalubong” to relatives who miss the tastes of Tanauan.

Sunday, the market day or “tabo” for our town is where we can only see most of native delicacies on sale. And these products are even brought by peddlers from the neighboring towns. No doubt that our homemade gastronomic delicacies are the best but i don’t know if we have an industry to talk about. An industry that’s sustainable and helps people to earn a living. We may know some families that accept orders like the Alvarez family in Buntay for binagol, but we don’t have the institution/organization that support them to Trade Fairs and Food Exhibits which eventually bring their products to other places.
